A multipart comp for Channel 5's epic drama Anne Boleyn. All the cast were originally shot individually on grey and it was our job to place them in the hero background in a realistic way. The background set was shot slightly differently to the portraits, so we had to create an extended stepped area to the stage for the cast to fit comfortably. All the garments had to be manipulated so that they interacted correctly with the steps. Additional red velvet curtains were added to enhance the plush Tudor feeling. We found additional ways of adding candle light where needed on the cast. And, for that modern twist we added an almost sci-fi flare and bokeh to the top right.
